CrystarVision Launches AI-Powered Ophthalmic Disease Management Pilot in Gangwon Public Healthcare

CrystarVision Co., Ltd. announced the official launch of Project ARGOS with a kickoff meeting held on June 25 at the Medical Device Comprehensive Support Center of the Wonju Medical Device Industry Promotion Institute. The project aims to pilot and evaluate an AI-powered ophthalmic chronic disease management model in real-world clinical settings across Gangwon Province.
Project ARGOS is part of the AX-Sprint (AI Application Product Rapid Commercialization Program), an initiative led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute (KHIDI). The program supports the validation, field deployment, and commercialization of AI-powered products and services that deliver tangible benefits to the public, accelerating digital transformation (AX) across healthcare and welfare services.
Through this initiative, CrystarVision aims to establish an AI-powered ophthalmic chronic disease management system for healthcare providers across Gangwon Province. The project also seeks to develop a scalable care model that can be expanded to public healthcare institutions throughout Korea.
The Project ARGOS Consortium consists of CrystarVision, Infinite Healthcare, Kangwon National University Hospital, Yeongwol Medical Center, Gangneung Medical Center, Pyeongchang County Health Center, Seongnam Citizens Medical Center, Heuron, and Work101. Consortium members will collaborate in AI-powered healthcare solutions, PACS and medical imaging integration, and clinical validation across regional healthcare institutions.
